Introduction
Abel Verheyden is a movie director and scriptwriter who grew up in the Belgian countryside. Right from childhood, the picturesque beauty of his surroundings and the iconographies of the outside world have nourished his writing. He now lives in Brussels, where his passion for shaping dreams and memories has become his work. Abel is driven by the desire to capture both the grace and the violence of our existence, and his imagery transcends our deepest, darkest, sweetest states of mind. He is best known for his short movies Adieu Sodome (2018), Kracht (2019) and Glauque (2021).
